Located at 1536 York Rd, Timonium, MD 21093, Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers operates as a tire shop serving Timonium in Maryland. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as auto repair shop, brake shop, car battery store, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

I arrived for a 3p appointment on Sunday 8/6/2026 only to be told I’d missed a call cancelling the appt and there were no techs available. The employee at the counter had a flat affect and dismissive attitude, didn’t greet me or offer any apology for the inconvenience. He offered times for me to return the next day, which was Labor Day, and I chose 7:30am. I asked if he could at least check my tire pressure…his flat reply was there was no one who could do that. At a Mr. Tire you’d think he could have done this himself. I arrived at the appointed time on 8/7 and waited in the parking lot for 1/2 hour (with another customer who was given a 7:30a appointment as well) before the same employee arrived a little after 8am. He didn’t acknowledge us, greet us, or invite us to come in. When we asked about the 7:30a appt time he dismissed both of us and said the opening time was 8a because of the holiday. He refused to acknowledge he’d given me 7:30a as my appointment time. Again he was sullen, defensive, and couldn’t bring himself to extend an apology to myself or the other customer. This employee is a very poor representative and in great need of retraining. I won’t use this Mr. Tire loc

Sadly this is the second bad experience i had with this shop. We have 4 cars in my household and live less the 1/2 a block away. One day i arrived home and heard my tire hissing so i drove a half a block away to this shop. He refused to repair the tire because he said I rode the tire empty and damaged it. I explained several time the tire had air and emptied out while i went in. He refused to the repair yelled at me that he is a professional and knows better than me. I asked him to fix the tire and if it is no good I would buy a new one and pay for the repair. He continued to refuse while yelling at me. I then went and changed the tire and took it to the local gas station for a $30 repair and have been driving it for over one month. Clearly the professional was very unprofessional for yelling at me and worse his opinion about the tire was invalid as he could not listen to me. He preferred changing a good tire vs fixing it. Whether it was cost of service and equipment that motivated his attitude or greed, I will never again return to spend my dollars there. Over the last three years I have spent over $3100 there, never again.

**TL;DR:** Mr. Tire replaced my front struts, and about two years later Mazda documented that the struts were not seated properly in the steering knuckles and contributed to axle issues. When I brought it up, the initial store-level response did not inspire confidence. **Update 5/15/2026:** Separately from the store-level email exchange, Mr. Tire’s corporate liability insurance carrier reached out to me, reviewed the Mazda documentation, and we were able to come to a resolution. I am satisfied with that final outcome. For context, around the same time I had also requested monetary compensation from the store, and the store-level response from **Chris Middler** was: “Robin we can do the repairs as I mentioned thats the only resolution I'm offering we're not paying out any money and I'm doing this as a courtesy. The struts are really out of the warranty range I'm offering the repairs as a courtesy that is all I'm offering.” I am sharing that response because it reflects my frustration with the store-level handling of the issue. The final resolution came through the corporate liability insurance process, not from the store-level response. ******* My Original Post: I had my front

On April 9, 2026 I came in the shop with a busted tire that was off the rim. It was 435 pm. I ask the receptionist who was a male and very nasty if I can get my tire fix. He said not today come back tomorrow. I ask him to look at it he say wait he came outside and saw that the tire was off the rim he say the best I can do for you is come back tomorrow I said sir I have no way of getting back or going home I have a 40 mins drive. He said “that has nothing to do with me that on you “. I ask him where is the closest tire shop and he told me Meinke. I went to Meinke and they did a wonderful job. As well as they were shock that the man allow me as a female to leave the shop like that with a baby in my car. Poor Customer service from Mr tire shop on York road. When I google and call customer they told me there were available appointments for that same store at 5 pm. I told the lady on the phone ma’am. Are you at a call center she said yes. I said ok thank you. Please cancel my appointment because the guy told me in person no appointment for today. She said I’m sorry. All in all Mr tire need to treat customers better and hire better happy front line staff.

I ordered tires from an Online retailer and was offered to have them shipped and installed here. 3 hours after installation, I had a flat tire! They “repaired it” but the next morning it was flat again. I went straight to the garage and asked them to fix it for me. Their reply “Im too busy to help you out today. It’s not something i can help you with.” Absolutely terrible customer service here. It doesn’t take long to make something right, especially a bad tire installation. And thats the difference between retaining customers and losing them. You lost at least one customer today.
